Some people are too eager to test the thinness of others' skin, imo. And when they offend, they always blame the one they offend for being too thin-skinned.

So is that a no? Of course, your post is completely unfair. I want him to stop too, and I know I need to stop as well. I said all of us. Don't twist my words. if you want to keep things negative, then you will. I was asking if we could all--every one of us--stop picking at each other. Can you do tha...

Do you guys ever get tired of this shit? I know I'm one to talk, but I'm talking to myself as much as anyone right now. It would take all of us to stop at once, but what if we set a cease-fire date? How about April 2 (so no one will think it's an April Fool's joke) at 12 noon Greenwich Mean Time?

Yes.
In rock, yes. I think Jeff Tain Watts is the greatest living drummer in any genre. I also still love Stewart Copeland. He's right up there with Pete.

Opportunity Fish and Chip Papers From a Whisper to a Scream Two Little Hitlers Little Triggers Every one of those songs is amazing, and I never see them on greatest hits collections. The chorus to Fish & Chip Papers is so infectious. And "Born in the middle of the second big baby boom"...

I agree. Girlfriend would be a great place to go after 100% Fun . And Kim Gi Oh is awesome. If I have things straight, Van Dyke Parks (who wrote the lyrics for The Beach Boys' Smile) worked with Matthew Sweet on some or all of that record. And it shows. (I might be thinking of Living Things ; I get ...

Scary Monsters is a damn fine album. The other one that is making me stand up and take notice lately is Station to Station. I think it gets less attention than Low and Heroes, but I like it at least as well as those.

I LOVE Bowie. LOVE. I'm such a Bowie geek that (as Otis will attest), I even get all geek about substandard stuff like Let's Dance (trhat wasn't a confession, by the way). I'm so pleased that he's done great work like Reality and Heathen recentlly. I still adore the Thin White Duke.

I think Being John Malkovich was the last decent film he made. It was 1999, though. He's made a lot of shit since then. I love the guy, which is why he disappoints me so much. I hope he returns to what he used to do, but until he does, I have to agree with Miss BA that he's been quite shameful for f...
