I love your words. If there was a tune that would fit them, would you allow me to try to make them work? No promises. I'm not as adept at writing music as you a re at words.

I like John Stewart better than Conan. He's my second favorite. And the Daily Show is the smartest thing on television.

The Bangles newest album features their cover of...Tear Off Your Own Head (It's A Doll Revolution). And you know what? It's terrific. I like it better than the original.

Automatic For The People is one of my favorite records by anybody ever.

Steely Dan is a good choice. The original lineup of Living Colour (Muzz on bass). The personnel on Sting's Dream of the Blue Turtles is pretty amazing.

But the Who probably get my vote.

1. Both my sons curled up in my lap on the big couch.

2. Same as above, only with my wife, and the kids are asleep, and Norah Jones is ont he CD player, and we're making out.

3. Same as #2, except the CD ended and we didn't.

Mason Williams is also one of the greatest comedy writers in television history. Few people know this, but he was a producer and writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (groundbreaking television), and wrote for the Carol Burnett Show. He's right up there with Carl Reiner and James L. Brooks.
