Re: Elvis/Imposters, Symphony Hall Birmingham, 15 May 2012
5. there was a father/daughter double spin. Bedlam was chosen by the father. It was a great choice. Elvis joined them and played in the cage which looked very cosy! What a great night, I'm the Hammer Guy, my eldestest daughters first Elvis gig and she gets to join him on stage with her dad, it's su...

Re: When was your first Elvis gig?
Always a big fan but unfortunately didn't drive until I was 25 and those friends that could, didn't share the same taste in music. I can recall being frustrated I was back in 83 (B'ham) and 84 (Nottingham). Looking back it's ridiculous how I didn't have the forsight to simply take the train. My firs...

Re: New Album(s) Being Recorded in Nashville
I'd welcome another close succession of albums Trust, AB & IB or KOA & B&C. 86' was a great year, I always thought B&C was a contingency plan for those who may of thought he'd sold out with KOA. He had nothing to worry about. He can't resist reminding us and himself, that he still ha...

Re: The Top 25
That was so difficult, first cut was 85 tracks, managed to get it down to 35. The final cut was really hard, throwing out some truely great songs and appearing to diss some wonderful albums. I can't begin to put them in any kind of order, but the top 10 will probably always remain. Still Too Soon To...

Re: Spike Demo Version Revisited
Ypsilanti, Don't sell yourself short, 'no match for you guys'. I loved reading your reply, my sentiment entirely, although I can say, I do love and enjoy all his work. It's a pleasure to know that there are others who shares my approach to EC's work. Although I appreciate and acknowledge some of the...

Re: Elvis/'Live At Hollywood High' '78, Jan 12 '10
It finally arrived and it's wonderful, so looking forward to future releases. I guess this would of been the obvious choice for the second CD to accompany the AF Deluxe Edition, which as a result I doubt will ever see the light of day? Volume 2 of the Costello Show, This is Volume 4 in my book, foll...
