Re: How many times have you met Elvis and what have you aske

I met Elvis four times : 1. after the first Royal Albert Hall solo show in May 1989 2. the following day, this time before the RAH show 3. after the RAH in July 1994 4. after the Shepherd's Bush show in July 1996 On each occasion I just thanked Elvis for the shows/songs and/or told him I'd come all ...

Re: Wake up you footy fans!!!

Yes, Van Persie sending-off was outrageous, but as much as I like Arsenal I think they played a very mediocre game and did not deserve to go through to quarterfinals. Just look at the official statistics – Attempts on target – 0 Attempts off target – 0 For a team like Arsenal this is shocking and on...

I somehow missed this one when it came out a couple of months ago.

Lovely album from Kurt Wagner (Lambchop) and Cortney Tidwell - Invariable Heartache

Re: Ron Sexsmith

I'm just listening to a leaked copy of Ron Sexsmith's new album, Long Player Late Bloomer , and I'm loving it immensely. Musically-wise it sounds like his happiest record to date. If there's any justice, this should finally be his commercial breakthrough. Simply can't get enough of it at the moment ...

Re: What the story behind ATUB (Entire album) ?

Otis Westinghouse wrote:For me the last really great EC album. Others since have had great moments, inc. Nat R, but ATUB was the last one that had enough great moments to make me play it over and over and think 'wow, genius!'.
My thoughts exactly.

What's the collective noun for Collective Nouns? Whatever it is there's a whole discombobulation of them here to choose from: http://www.rinkworks.com/words/collective.shtml The choice of noun depends on which animal group most closely mimics the Elvises behaviour. “Discombobulation” ?? Brilliant! ...

Re: Fantasy Soccerball 20010-11

One piece of advice to everyone : follow closely my transfers.
The rule is simple - buy the player I'm selling as it is very likely they will get you a lot of points in the next gameweeks.
Examples : I'm selling Bale, he scores ; I'm selling Rooney, he scores; I'm selling Gyan, he scores.

Yes, Lloyd's new album is simply wonderful.
Have you seen the video for Writer's Retreat ?

As for NR, I have been doing my best to love it, but I doubt I ever will.

I watched the game on Sunday and could not believe my eyes, especially that I'd made Ashley Cole my FFL captain.

Not that I wish Terry any serious injury, but I won't miss his face.

Spooky, that was InvisibleMan's favourite song, not mine, but I can see where your thinking comes from. :-) Actually, I haven't listened to the album that much. Only have it downloaded from the net, CD should be on its way s...

Re: National Ransom - New Album Due Nov. 2

One question : does it ever happen that an album, officially to be released on a Monday, appears in shops at the weekend before ? I'm asking because a friend of mine currently living in UK is going to visit me next week, but he's got a plane on Sunday, 24th of October. I wonder if there is any chanc...

Re: Recently viewed films

I've just seen a film that combines adventure, action, horror and comedy in a perfect way. It's got heartwarming story and wonderful characters, it's clever and funny, and within 100 minutes made me laugh, hold my breath in excitement and shed a tear (more than one, to be honest). The movie's called...
