Besideds EC, I've had a life long facination with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Aside from them, there's really no one else that I'm really THAT fantical over. In a sort of sub-catagory, I'd add the Pretenders. I have also become quite a Van Morrison fan and am well on my way to making my way through...

Now that my ipod is all loaded up it's so easy to listen to anything I want, anywhere I want. I've been listening to IB.......and Guidedbyvoices, you must have been reading my mind. I've been wondering about some of the lyrics to Man Out of Time that have always driven me crazy. Without looking for ...

So this is what I've been missing by not reading the annex? Oh my, King Hoarse! And Cope, as well. I really do feel your pain. I thank God everyday for all my working parts after recently being rudely awakened by a diagnosis of breast cancer and having to face the reality of possibly losing on...

W/out a doubt it's the Foo Fighters All My Life video. Never seen anything so awesome. Honorable mention: Herbie Hancock's Rockit is so, so cool. Has always been a favorite. Also like Devo's Satisfaction and Nine Inch Nail's I Want to **ck You Like an Animal-such a strange but utterly appealing visu...

AAHHH!! Evanescence!!! Cannot stand them. Along w/Fleetwood Mac and Lynyrd Skynyrd (I'd rather die than listen to Free Bird.) Boy Bands Girl Bands (Except for the Donnas and possibly Veruca Salt.) Bye, Bye Miss American Pie......who sings that? I hate em. Weird Al All the American Idols (from the tv...

Ugh! I cannot believe that a few short days ago I was sitting in the Orlando Hard Rock Cafe (down in FLA w/the fam for some much needed R&R.) I knew Elvis was going to be playing a show but I just couldn't swing it to stay. :x It would have wonderful. Never seen him play the Hard Rock. BLAH! Gla...

I agree w/you Mr. Average on your assessment of Audioslave. My attraction to their sound, I'm sure, has something to do w/me being a big Pearl Jam(not so much anymore though), Soundgarden, STP fan for a long time. I think Chris Cornell has a fantastic voice. (Not to mention his super hottness. :wink...

Bought Aimee Mann's Bachelor #2 ages ago and finally cracked it open.

Got the Clarksdale Sessions on vinyl but haven't opened it yet.

Also bought the new Norah Jones deluxe edition for my hubby.

Can't remember what else. I've got a terrible short term memory.

Wow, very interesting reading, people. Don't really care for all the lables, but I suppose it;s unavoidable. They pretty much mean nothing to me. I never thought of EC and A's as new wave . What the heck is that anyway? I suppose I did think of certain types of bands as new wave like A Flock of Seag...

........but relieved when I heard it was Pump It Up, a song I've already hear live too many times. I think maybe now, I might not be as pissed if it turned out that I missed Pump It Up for the same reason Otis states above. But back in the day, it was a major crush missing that one. (I believe that...

A long time ago, my husband and then boyfriend went to see a bunch of bands including EC and the A's at an all day thing at RFK stadium, the name of which escapes me now. Of course, being an all day event, a potty break was inevitable. Not knowing the order of the bands, not to mention the crap with...

Mr Average~ I think EC would be delighted that you make your own personal interpretations of his songs. When grilled about their meaning, he replies over and over how essential it is for the listener to bring his personal circumstances to the song to create its "meaning". I believe he'd be...
