Hey! I was there... :D http://www.elviscostellofans.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4298 And I have to say, they're right.. It was an amazing show. I'll write an actual review (since thats my job and all) when I get my hands on a set list (as a memory refresher). By far, I want you, American Without Tear...

MeadowBrook 7/26

I just got home from the Rochester Hills Show, and even after a 2 hour drive my mind is still realing. I need to get to bed (work tomorrow/today) but here's the 1st things that I'm thinking. 1. Emmylou sounded a bit off. I barely paid attention to her while she was singing. I was too distracted by S...

lol, I'm actually a regional speed-reading champ. Anyways, I think that review hits it pretty well. One thing they dont stress enough, though, is that, while this is probably the best-written one since the first, this is not what I would call a childrens book. It could certainly be slightly edited t...

I must admit, after repeated listening, the song has started to grow on me. Albiet, it still sounds like the Fanta jingle, but its getting better. I wonder if we'll ever get to hear Toy...

Damn righht! I saw him on the last tour... I dont think even Elvis can compete with that. There were moments during Ziggy Stardust where the entire venue was utterly silent. Coolest thing ever...

I'd be happy to send the song to anyone who wants it.

New Bowie Song

Anyone else heard the new Bowie song "(She Can) Do That"? If not, don't panic, as it sounds a bit like Never Let Me Down gone techno. After the disappointing Reality, I'm starting to think the Thin White Duke should retire for a while.

What about Lip Service? Its the only mediocre pop tune on TYM, and I've always thought it sounded out of place.

I agree, but where does that leave the record companies that are the ones actually pressing suits? I actually want to know. Are they representing the artists, or are they just after the money that they supposably lost to downloading last year? Could it be that their intentions are less than honorable?

I'm on the fence. I download, but only non-copyrighted stuff. Or stuff that I could only ever want one song of. I have a lot of issues with the way the record companies and artists deal with this. I would think that for artists like Elvis that have such issues with record companies, the dling revolu...

Mr. A, you're not the only one hurting. We were asked to leave for what we paid for the house when we bought it (never mind that it wasnt inhabitable when we got it got $22,000 in 1989- its insured for $200,000 now!) so they could build a strip mall. This funny thing is, we're the only house for at ...

Making a bootleg

I'm going to a few cool concerts this summer, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the best way to record them, such as what equipment works best, the best seat locations, etc. Thanks.

Not only is Prince one of the best artists, but he puts on one of the greatest live shows ever. I was reeling afterwards. It was just amazing... And 1984 also was the year of David Bowie's Tonight, which, while it was possibly the worst of the "dance trio"albums, featured one of his best-s...

Opinions are fine, until a person fails to realize that just because you think something is right does not make it fact. But you know what, its doesn't matter what people think in this. He wasn't convicted. Got that?? He was found not guilty! So sprout all the the nonsense you want, you already lost...
