Jackson Monk-I hope you are alright. So sorry about the telephone pole. Sans head injury I have a long standing affection for ABBA. Two ABBA memories within the last week: Singing 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' to a man as we gazed at the moonlit sea. He turned and looked deeply into my eyes and said, &q...

Not every song is marked by the year Bob Dylan wrote it but some are, to me but maybe I've gotten older and the songs have remained young. As for production, 'Punch the Clock' and 'Goodbye Cruel World' are dated in production but not in the lyrics. Some of the songs on Elvis' first album could have ...

You can't date Elvis (he's engaged) and his word play at times is staggering in it's genius. Bob Dylan is great and earnest but a lot of it is dated (and you wouldn't want to date Mr. Dylan). He is a pioneer and a testament to his time.

'Alison' is so mature for such a young songwriter. A song filled with haunting sentiment it speaks of regret, loss and a shedding of self delusion and idealization. It's needless to say a classic but it is a worthy one.

Though the line, "Don't you know I'm an animal?" would better serve the Annex it's a great lyric from a marvelous song. "Hand in Hand" symbolizes the innocence of romance and the song tells of the inevitable sexual element of such emotions. Another analysis of the awkwardness of ...
