Caught the Nelson, Mellencamp, Dylan show last night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Great atmosphere and a perfect evening for this kind of show, although the $9 beers dampened my spirits a bit. Nelson was great, as always, cramming 20 songs into 60 minutes. He was in fine voice and playing well...

LC is apparently coming back to the States after his European jaunt ........ AND HE'S PLAYING IN DURHAM! In case you couldn't tell, I am excited beyond belief. Tix on sale Friday, August 7 and the show is Nov. 3. Woooohooooo!

I also got this yesterday and generally agree with Blue. In fact, 'You're So Vain' has a pretty poor vocal performance IMHO, but a lot of it sounds fantastic.

I've also been a big fan since the Soviet Kitsch days. A bit of an acquired taste, but a singular talent. Haven't heard the new one yet.

EC and the I's played this during the 30 years tour I saw in Washington DC a year or two ago.

I voted for River in Reverse for personal reasons.

A very enjoyable show and a great audience in Cary tonight. Not a single call-out for 'rock and roll' and the vast majority did not leave early. Several standing ovations, including for some of the new material. Elvis' voice was rough, but not bad in any way. He didn't shy away from any of the notes...

It would be very sad if Elvis, who is now in his 50s, came out and did the hackneyed 'angry young man' thing like it was 1979. Give me a fucking break.
