This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Wow - clearly my signals were crossed there. I think I was originally going to put Alex P. Keaton but decided that Cliff was more deserving.

Good Call. Cliff is my favorite of all time. There was so much psychological depth, and so much that was 'true' about his persona...his relationship with his mother, the postal service, friends, insecurities.

Before So lack makes the joke, I will do it for him...I relate to Cliffy in a way, and while it is not one of my prouder analogies, I understand poor Cliffy.

[Norm and Cliff watch Frasier and Lilith make out their wills] Cliff: I don't see what the fuss is over this whole will business. When I die, everything goes to ma.
Norm: That's great, Cliff, but what if she dies first?
Cliff: Shut up. Shut up, Peterson. SHUT UP, THE WHOLE SICK LOT OF YOU.
and ....
Cliff: Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Another Cliff gem comes when Sam decides to impress Diane by reading a book. War & Peace is suggested, and Cliff remarks that he has experience of said tome as he's delivered a number of copies for Book Clubs.
"It may take a while to read, it's a big one." warns Cliff.
"How big?" asks Sam.
"About 6 pounds!" answers the mailman.

I started making my list and it was the entire cast of Green Acres. Lisa making the hot cakes, Mr. Haney and the incomparable Eb who have already been mentioned, and of course, Hank Kimball, a man after my own heart. So, just to show that sometimes I live in the present, I'm adding Lois from Malcom in the Middle (just for that 'chew it then' response to the soured milk) and Joy Turner from Earl.
Like me, the "g" is silent.
