OK folks, I have four sealed CDs of excellent music from 2006 that I'm ready to give away - first come, first served:

-Camera Obscura - Let's Get Out of This Country
-The Essex Green - Cannibal Sea
-The Decemberists - The Crane Wife
-Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood

So, who wants what? No more than one per person. Shipping is gratis. What's not to like??

I have no Decemberist CD's and would love to be turned on to them. I will reciprocate in kind.

No need. I'm already swimming in music. PM me your details and I'll mail it out this week.

Three left - any takers?

Could I possibly take Neko Case off your hands?
Cheers.

(Oh, and I highly recommend the Camera Obscura album to everybody. Take up this offer!)

OK, Camera Obscura and Neko Case spoken for. UK shipping no issue. PM me your details.

I ordered the 4 albums together and they got lost in the mail, so I was sent replacements. Then one day a battered package arrives on my doorstep and guess what's inside? I went through enough trouble getting them to agree that the package had been lost and enough time has passed that I feel under no obligation to alert said retailer.

You kind person.

Is Essex Green worth checking out? Fraid I know not their name. Yes please, if you endorse!

I had a similar thing with Play.com. I got replacements, and then months later the originals showed up. Being less generous than you, and less swimming in music (well, that's more a reflection on you than me!), I managed to get Fopp to agree to exchange them all, so I had a brilliant 5 minute supermarket spree in Fopp and ended up with about 8 CDs for my 4 originals, all of which cost a few quid more in Fopp than online.

Yes, smart pop out of Brookyln. They toured here in the States with their labelmates Camera Obscura. Would have made my top 15 last year. It's yours if you send me your details (again). Sorry, I'm hopeless for keeping information handy.

The Essex Green is indeed a fantastic disc - highly recommended Otis.

OK one more, and a good one! I thought I'd used up my three downloads of Elvis Perkins' Ash Wednesday, one of my five favorite albums of 2007, but apparently not. So get in there:

Go here: http://promo.beggarsgroupusa.com

Enter UPC code: 634904026219
Then unique code: perkinsYTX8QN04

Two downloads left, and when they're gone they're gone!

A big thanks... downloading as I type. Still one left.

I hope I can return the favour one day... or at the very least buy you a drink the next time you are down this way.

Doh!! Just noticed that the album downloads had been used up and that I had downloaded the press kit :(

Might be nice if people post (and acknowledge the offerer) as they download?

Oh well.

I won't be able to make it down this year, but hopefully next after we get this infernal house remodeling done.

PS - Yeah that would be nice. I may have to ask people to PM me next time. Tim, PM on its way.

Too slow off the mark. While You Were Sleeping, the free to all sample, is the one I know from the Word sampler. Good song.

Anyone interested in getting a sealed, never before played copy of Delibes' beautiful opera Lakmé? You know, it has the music that used to feature in the British Airways ads. In any case, this is an amazing recording of the opera with the great French soprano Natalie Dessay. In addition to being easy on the eyes she is one of the best singers working today. One condition - you have to actually listen to it and not return it for the latest Elvis reissue.

So come on - who wants it?
