Genesis Tour

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Genesis Tour

Post by Mike Boom »

The set-list from Helsinki was:

Behind the Lines/Duke's End
Turn It On Again
No Son Of Mine
Land of Confusion
In The Cage/The Cinema Show/Duke's Travels/Afterglow
Hold on My Heart

Home by the Sea
Follow You Follow Me/Firth of Fifth/I Know What I Like
Mama
Ripples
Throwing It All Away
Domino
Drum Duet
Los Endos
Tonight Tonight Tonight/Invisible Touch

I Can't Dance
Carpet Crawlers

Which is not as horrid as I had feared, and includes a lot of stuff I would love to hear.

This
In The Cage/The Cinema Show/Duke's Travels/Afterglow

and this

Follow You Follow Me/Firth of Fifth/I Know What I Like

especially.
echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

So long as you can sit through "I Can't Dance", that is :)
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

I Can't Dance

urrggghh - horrible horrible horrible - shudder.

How they can play that junk next to such magic as "Carpet Crawlers" is beyond me. Plenty of time for bar and toilet breaks I guess. That or a pair of ear plugs for the awful bits.

You've got to get in to get out. Great song.

Meh, okay setlist. Can't believe they still play Invisible Shit, it's far worse than I Can't Dance imo. Though the latter is an embarrasing attempt at something a bit heavier that's just real lame.

Never seen a better performance by Genesis : Cinema Show. With Chester Thompson, then Phil, combining on drums. Great song. Great show.

Appearently they've been playing the same set-list in the same order every show so far. Must be disappointing for crazed fans following them all over Europe.

Maybe Phil's banter varies each night...
