Michael Ball covers "This House Is Empty Now" on his album "Back To Bacharach" (october 2007). You can here a soundclip on his website.
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

Why?
Here we don't know this Michael Ball. He is totally ... "uncool"? :D

Michael Ball is extremely uncool, but I think (hope?) he knows it.
He's a West End show singer (and no doubt v. good at it) but he keeps doing 'pop' albums. A recent effort had him 'singing' Rainbow's classic cock rock Since You've Been Gone.
Dear me.

I have just heard Michael Ball's version of This House is Empty Now.
I am now in Ward 27, but conscious, sitting up, chatting to the nurses and my condition is described as "stable."
