Saturday afternoon, walking around Poznan, I suddenly see Pete just a few feet away

- You're Pete Thomas, aren't you ?
- Yes, I am
- Oh my God, so good to see you. How are you ?
- Fine, thanks. What's your name ?
- I'm Jacek. Is Elvis somewhere around too ?
- Yes, he's over there .... (pointing over my shoulder, making me turn vehemently) .... Just kidding. I think he's in the hotel.
- How long are you going to play tonight ?
- 90 minutes. Maybe a bit more if there's enough cheering
- I promise Il'be doing the cheering with my family. Listen, can I have a photograph taken with you ?
- Yeah, sure
- (me speaking to the camera) Best drummer in the world !

Elvis' show at Malta Festival in Poznan will be aired on TVP2.

The tv coverage will be divided into two parts. First part will be aired on TVP2 on Sunday, June 29 at 10.15 p.m. CET, second - God knows why - on August 18.
So, if by any luck you have access to TVP2 (actually it's quite possible for some of you what with thousands of Poles in UK having TV decoders for Polish channels) and you own a dvd recorder ( I don't !! and will have to record it on vhs tape ) you may add this show to your collection.

I am sooo excited by this. My wife and three kids are going with me, though the hours are not particularly children-friendly (the show starts at ... 10.30 p.m. !!). My wife saw Elvis & Attractions at Royal Albert Hall in 1994 , but for the kids it's gonna be the first ever proper rock/pop concert. Hope they'll like it.

Is there any news yet about this TV broadcast? Has someone recorded this? Which songs were aired?

Yep, I've got it on VHS tape.
For reasons known only to the tv channel, they completely changed the song sequence.
