Boston Preshow Plan

Post by selfmademug »

We've got a plan brewing, involving dinner in Chinatown. PM me if you'd like to join us!

That goes for you, too Elvis.

pay for your dinner????!!! you must have us mixed up with some other set of WEALTHY elvis fans.

besides, it's chinatown, how much could it possibly cost???

i'm already buying dinner for one starving student this week (not part of the EC crew), and that's my personal limit. :)

God be with the days when preparation for an EC show would be a rake of pints/a flagon or two of cider/a naggin of vodka and some speed. Now it's a sit down meal. Still, I hope you enjoy the show.

Wehitandrun has promised me a full report and photos. I hope the ladies of the board are going to take him under their wings and get him up close to Elvis. Good karma not withstanding, a lovely photo of Elvis would be very much appreciated :D (Plus it would really help the envy I'm suffering from.... ). Hope y'all enjoy a truly wonderful show !!!

Yesss. Thankyou so much for the tickets. I hope my endless crying this Friday after seeing Elvis doesnt annoy anybody.

Although it isnt in any playlists, I'm praying for Pidgin English... and for WEDNESDAY WEEK... and talking in the dark... and tiny steps... and the otherside of summer!.

okay. okay. i'm breathing.

what i really cant wait for is "Pills and Soap" with the brodskey quartet. I love the music by the Brodskey Quartet in their version of the song.

I can't say enough good about the Brodskys doing Pills and Soap. They were so great and were grinning the entire time. The audience was loving it as well. I hope they do it for you in Boston. What a great number that was. :)

WEDNESDAY WEEK... and talking in the dark...
Elvis most completely perfect single, imo. I would kill to hear him do a note perfect recreation of these 2 songs.

the change of pace in Wednesday Week should be enough to convert all of those who just don't understand Elvis.

I hope everyone has a grand time tonight, and stay away from the pork chow fun. I hope your setlist is as long as last night's, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. I expect the list of songs with the Brodskys will be virtually the same, but EC and the Professor could have many tricks up their sleeves.

Hope for "Either Side of the Same Town." His singing was superb on that one.

Mug...May I?

Post by jillbeast »

Hey SMM, may I post your info about your preshow activities to Costello-l on the listserv? There was one person looking to meet up for Boston. I sent him over here, but I'm not sure if he reached you all!
