Beers Before Boston

Post by Boy With A Problem »

Someone should pick a place to have drinks before the Boston show. I'm not familiar with the neighborhood, or I'd do it. It'll be a hot day and I'm sure we'll all be parched....

here's a good link for a list of places near the pavillion:

http://boston.citysearch.com/search?typ ... =5&miles=5

i'm not really familiar with any of these places.

Lucky's looks promising. There's stuff towards the Financial District - honest it *seems* too far away, but Citysearch is saying it's only a mile from the Pavillion.

i found stuff, someone else make a decision.

Sign me up. I can't look at the link right now, but I'll have a look tomorrow. The FP's not really IN a neighborhood per se-- not really close to any drinking establishment I can think of, unless The Barking Crab is still in biz... but yes, let's set this up.

Okay, I'll just jump in then.

Let's meet at:

THE BARKING CRAB
88 Sleeper Street
877-268-6157

For info/directions:

Parking in this part of town is difficult and expensive, so I thought it best to pick someplace within walking distance of the venue. Though even from The Crab, it's a hoof! There are closer places but I don't know the names of any of 'em. The advantages to this palce are: good beer, very casual, and you can get a great bowl of clam chowder (or more-- good seafood here, obv). Disadvantages: still 10-15' walk from Fleet Pav, and will be crowded on a Saturday night.

Still the only alternative I have would be the restaurant in the Seaport Hotel-- closer to the venue but not as fun.

Votes? Time (6??)? WHat say all of you?

Logistics are still a bit uncertain, but I'm going to try my hardest to get to the Barking Crab (I've heard really good things about the place) -

I'll be wearing a "Brutal Youth" t-shirt and pink tights (not really).

Boy and others-- hope you make it. I'll be at the bar holding a beer-- that should make me easy to spot, eh? Well, you know what I look like-- 5'7" 40-ish white chick with long 'maturing' blonde hair. Dunno what I'll be wearing but I'll probly be carrying a little black purse on a chain, if that helps. Come say HOLA.

Signed,

Very Psyched Mug

PS-- I think I'll try to get me picture anapped with him afterwards, as well, or shake his paw, if he's doing that, so that's another place we might meet up and say HI.
