I think the three of them can afford professionals - but there's no substitute for enthusiasm.

As much as I love watching baseball and getting blow jobs, I don't think I would want to combine the two. While watching a ball game I have a tendancy to jump off the couch when something exciting happens.

Declanation forgets that the World Series is played between the champions of the American and National Leagues - the Yankees and Red Sox, of course, have been in the American League together for the last hundred years.

My ultimate baseball fantasy would be to watch the Red Sox go down 3-0 in the American League Playoffs to the Yankees - then watch the Yankees choke up 4 in a row (including a couple of blown saves by their infallable reliever ) in perhaps the ultimate "blow job" in sports history. In my fantasy the Red Sox then go on to sweep the Cardinals avenging 1946 and 1967 World Series defeats. Seems like a dream.

So Lack is Goon Squad.

I'm in first - feels nice, but I'm afraid it won't last without another bopper.

Pogues is my buddy Tom, who I enlisted when it looked like we wouldn't have enough players. He's the only non-board player.

OK, here's the skinny on the Can't Cut List, which can be accessed from the league homepage:

"A number of the best players in the game will be on this list throughout the season. When a player is on the list, he cannot be waived from a team under any circumstances. The "Can't Cut" list, which will be updated when necessary, will prevent managers at the bottom of the standings from changing the league dynamics by waiving all of their outstanding players."

As I understand it, this does not prevent anyone from making a trade involving any of these players. You just cannot put them on waivers.

I really am the bottom cat, too! Can you fire your whole team? Or, can I fire the manager? Oh, wait, I am the manager! Har!

Well, every league needs its Colorado Rockies. I'm pleased to be of service to you all.

I'm not panicking yet. Certainly need some improvement in the HR, RBI and saves departments. Manny Ramirez please throw me a bone, would you?

Headline of the day:

Boss fumes after Yankees fall to 4-8 (AP) :D

I almost feel bad about gloating over this, after spending a wonderful day in the Greatest City in the World with the wife and kids, but what the hell...

I signed Hillenbrand and brought him in for todays game and he went 444, only one run and no RBIs but not a bad move!

Hillenbrand's a good player. I felt bad for him last year, slaving away on that woeful Diamondbacks team. (They're still woeful - it hurts to even look at that list of names in their bullpen.)

Hillenbrand is a whining ungrateful punk - spewing venom at the Red Sox after they unloaded him early last season. Don't feel sorry for him; the guy's from Scottsdale and got to spend a season playing for his home town team.

What a pleasure that must have been, watching hacks like Mike Koplove and Brian Bruney blow save after save. I don't know about the comments Hillenbrand made about Boston - didn't follow it that closely - but it always struck me as strange and a little disturbing that ex-Red Sox tend to be instantly reviled the moment they leave town.
