Eep! I'm here, and wondering if this was a really good idea, or a really stupid idea. Think I will join a gym right away, for a reliable shower.

Glad to hear you made it there safe, MBA
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Love the change of location. You'll have to go and see Boca Juniors against, er, the other lot. Let us know how the beef and wine taste! Is 'chorizo' a known term in the US, as in spicy Spanish sausage (and maybe Mexican, in which case you would know it). In Arg it's a cut of beef. They have their own unique lexicon for beef. You're not a veg, are you? Did you line up a job before going? (Don't know if that's a dumb question - I went to Berlin without doing so, and it was hard and expensive work sorting myself out!) Never heard anything back from my colleague with the IH friend. Make sure you use the right books!

Haven{t really been examining the toilets too closely (thank Heaven for small favors), but maybe I will experiment later on tonight.

Where do I buy tickets for the Elvis gig? I can never tell how those things are going to work. In France you can only get tickets at a certain record store...

Wow, while I was distracted by a lot of stuff (not only "Serenity"), M.S. finally made it to Argemtina. Have a good time, oh elegant one!

And, Otis, yes, chorizo is in fact known here in the U.S. under that name and, yes, mainly because it is used in Mexican food too (in fact, I didn't know it was Spanish food though I probably would if I spent more time in tapas bars).

Best of luck in your new adventure, Miss BA. But enough about you, I'm taking the family to BA and Punta del Este in late December to visit friends. First time over. Did you get cheap airline tickets? Any tips? I'll be leaving from Kennedy.

Did you get a cheap, under-payed nanny yet?

You talking to me, Extreme Masso? I was talking to Miss BA about airplanes, not nannies. Never used nannies with the kids, since the wife doesn't work (outside the house, that is). I guess she's the de facto nanny, although not a cheap one believe me (although a treasured one).

If you are talking to me, does this mean you are offering to provide us with nanny services while in BA? If so, I'm sorry to say that the kids will be with us during the vacation, and so we won't be needing help while in BA. If you are still in BA, I would suggest you to our Argentinian friends, but their kids are older (I think older than you, actually).

Unfortunately, my tickets weren't all that cheap. But I know a girl whose boyfriend got tix for like, $500. In December, that might be pretty tough to swing. Let me know how it goes! Hopefully I will still be here (i.e. gainfully employed, although hopefully not as an underpaid nanny).

i was actually alking to Miss B.A but if you ever need a cheap, under-payed nanny who'll prolly rob your ass ten fold if she ever seen an americano bill-o, I'm the man to call.
And no, I'm back home just in time to catch winter (DAMN!) up here in Toronto. Enjoy Punta with all your heart, see all the beached and gamble every night because I remember I had the best time of my life there a few years back. It's a beautful city, enjoy.
