more or less immediate computer help
Okay, so I'm at an Internet cafe, and I clicked on something without paying attention, and it turns out I asked the computer to remember my gmail password! Please tell me how to turn this off...now. Thanks!

This may sound paranoid, but you you should always do a c disc cleanup and clear your history if you use a public computer. Left click on start>allprograms>accessories>systemtools>disccleanup and tick everything. Otherwise rightclick on My Computer>explore>control panel>internet options and then you can delete cookies, files and clear your history. Otherwise you leave yourself at the mercy of whoever else may use the machine. 9 times out of 10 you'll be amazed at the amount of stuff others leave behind on public hard dives.

^ That's if you even have access to those options on a public computer. If not, then changing the password is the thing to do.
Staff probably clear those things every night, but you never know who's also copying the stuff to their little USB keys...

M?, I really don't think the staff clears anything every night. There are so many Internet cafes here...I don't think there's too much computer knowledge required besides knowing how to work the porn filter. And even that is iffy--gmail is blocked half the time, but I just stumbled across a cache of porn on this hard drive! I think I am going to start taking martin's advice, if I can figure all that out in Spanish...
