Well there's probably not a lot of call for books that are already coloured in Believe me.
I send those home to mommy, Verbs.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I must say, after seeing the preview for King Kong, my vote goes to Adrien Brody. Then again, my vote often goes to Adrien Brody.

I bought some cinnamon hand soap yesterday, and it's bringing me a great deal of olfactory well-being.

Cinammon is beautiful. Jabón de canela. I love cinammon tea.

Am drinking green tea with ginseng. Someone told me it's a great way to ward off a hangover. I only had 4 pints, and a few smallish 'palo cortado' sherriies for lunch, but am feeling pukey. Lack of water and too much smoking at Dylan.

Damn, it's raining here by the buckets. Been going on for hours now.

Rainy days and Mondays. . . . . .

Maybe I'll light a Christmas candle - one of those piney-smelling ones.

I didn't know where to put this so the random thread seemed best.

I have been gone from here forever. I have been through the busiest and most frustrating times ever. Some of you may remember that I was going into a business opening coffee shops with a guy I work with at another job. We had hoped to be open in JUNE. Yet here we sit still not close due to a stack of factors including the fact that his brother who was going to be the builder not only didn't get the job done but ripped us off for a bunch of money. We should be open by now for sure but the new contracter has been slowed, the permits took FOREVER and we are still at least a month out. So, this is the American dream of opening your own business eh?

In the mean time my mom got breast cancer. So far she is doing okay. She is not in pain and the treatment they are using so far lets her keep working. After the holidays she will have surgery. Please keep your fingers crossed for us if you don't mind.

So I just wanted to say that I have missed coming here and it's nice to see some of the folks who were nice to me when I joined still around.

thanks
Mark

Mark, great to hear from you again. I hope your Mom pulls through OK. My mother-in-law goes in for bladder cancer surgery on Wednesday and is very weak at the moment because of a secondary infection. My wife and I have both been on pins and needles about it and it's going to be a bit of a different holiday season this year with her in the hospital and the in-laws unable unable to visit us as they normally do.

Best of luck getting your business off the ground. Sounds like a complicated process, to say the least.

Bless your heart, Crash. I had wondered where you were.

Sometimes the things that we look the most forward to are the things that we feel like will kill us eventually. I'm sure that things will smooth out for you in the months to come.

I will certainly be thinking of your mom.

Crash:

Our prayer intentions will focus on your mothers health. My family has a very strong belief in the healing power of fervant prayer. While it may not be a popular practice by many who post frequently to this forum, it doesn't deter me from offering to do the thing that we believe has real potential to help. I am a cancer patient in remission and my prognosis, supported by three board certified oncologists, was less than 10 months to live. That was when I was in my late 20's.

I'm 48. Spontaneous remission? Maybe. I think otherwise. No need for proof. I ain't doing a science experiment.

God Bless You and Yours.

Crash8 --

Glad to see your back, and here's more good thoughts for your mother, and for the coffee shop. As this board's most vociferous proponent of caffienated beverages, I wish you the best of luck and demand a substantial discount!

  I think what actually happened is that Who Shot Sam and I split the vote.

This is kind of a cool little application. I gave EC a try and got a nice little montage, mostly early stuff...

LOL - I entered "Bert and Ernie" and got back a lot of pictures of everyone's favorite gay muppet couple, as well as a smidgen of porn!

oh, sorry bobster! apparently my original post had a little red x where the (as decided by People magazine, not me)SMA-without-indoor-plumbing should have been. I guess it looked a lot like you.

and happy thoughts to you Crash and WSS. you remind me that I have much to be thankful for - best wishes for your mom and mom-in-law.

Occasionally I end up with 2 copies of something - I forget whether I have a copy of something, and I buy it again. Or, I think I have something I see out there, then check when I get home, and I don't! What annoys me most about it is that largely to blame is my collection having suffered 3 devastating major losses.

She's just out of surgery - blood pressure and pulse good. They removed a tumor the size of a grapefruit. :!: When she was first diagnosed with cancer, it was the size of a grape.

Hopefully they got everything. Recovery is going to take a long long time, but we will definitely have something big to be thankful for tomorrow.
