Do you think it's a band or something?
It's The Hideout, the fastest growing radio-show in Orlando history (which is the area where Ron & Ron / Ron & Fez got their start).

I have no problems with the image itself, just the repetitive nature of seeing it attached to all your posts. Do we really need to be inundated with your satellite radio advertising? Do they pay you or something?
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

This is the most random thing I have experienced in quite a while: I was awakened at some ungodly hour this morning by my roommate (loudly) singing a song about dradles to the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in Hebrew.

I wasn't born the sharpest thorn
Meanwhile, I've had Hank Thompon's immortal "The Wild Side of Life" stuck in my head all week and, often to my suprise and horror, I have repeatedly caught myself bursting into my best dimestore Jimmie Rodgers warble. And I can safely say that all of you can live long, productive lives without ever hearing me bleat "I didn't know that God made honky tonk angels!"

Doc just got back from another trip to Munich and since I couldn't go with him this time due to kids and school finals, etc., I asked him to bring back a cd from a group I discovered while I was there in October. I'm doing my best to translate the words from German to English, but these damn internet translators don't handle the verb tenses very well. But at least I'm learning more German this way.

It's by a group called Wir Sind Helden and the song is called Von Hier An Blind. I'm doing fairly well so far, but if you want to help I won't turn it down. The album had just been released when I was there in October and I coulcn't get it out of my head.
I've been to Munich twice now and there appear to be future opportunities for us to return, so I would really like to know more German so I can communicate better when I'm there. Though most Germans speak enough English to speak with me, I would like to know their language.

An obvious reference to Bowie's immortal and thoroughly hilarious recording of "Heroes" in German, "Helden":
Du
Könntest Du schwimmen
Wie Delphine
Delphine es tun
Niemand gibt uns eine Chance
Doch können wir siegen
Für immer und immer
Und wir sind dann Helden
Für einen Tag
Ich
Ich bin dann König
Und Du
Du Königin
Obwohl sie
Unschlagbar scheinen
Werden wir Helden
Für einen Tag
Wir sind dann wir
An diesem Tag
Ich
Ich glaub' das zu träumen
die Mauer
Im Rücken war kalt
Die Schüsse reissen die Luft
Doch wir küssen
Als ob nichts geschieht
Und die Scham fiel auf ihre Seite
Oh, wir können sie schlagen
Für alle Zeiten
Dann sind wir Helden
Nur diesen Tag
Dann sind wir Helden
Dann sind wir Helden
Dann sind wir Helden
Nur diesen Tag
Dann sind wir Helden
Du
Könntest Du schwimmen
Wie Delphine
Delphine es tun
Niemand gibt uns eine Chance
Doch können wir siegen
Für immer und immer

Cool, Otis. I had remembered that the name of the band was We Are Heroes - at least I think that's how it translates. I think this could be a good way for me to learn more German though - it's better than those silly language learning tapes - and I get to listen to good music at the same time. And I'm thrilled that Doc only gave 11EUR because I didn't think to pick up the cd when I was there in October and when I got home to order it through Amazon or Ebay it was well over $30 USD.
If you want to hear a clip of this song and others:

I know, this would be more appropriate in the What are you listening To thread.
