Nick Lowe

Post by Emotional Toothpaste »

Just pre-ordered the new Nick Lowe "The Old Magic" at the Yeproc website and got 2 free downloads ("Checkout Time" and "Somebody Cares for Me"). Grooving on it now. Hope I get the playing cards if I'm one of the first 500. They look pretty cool - Nick as the King of Hearts.

Does anyone know what Elvis song Nick is covering on this new album?

"Poisoned Rose."

He did "Indoor Fireworks" on 1985's The Rose of England.

Bronx - did it say anything on your receipt that the cards were included in your purchase? Mine didn't.

Poisoned Rose would be great to hear covered by Nick.

Poisioned Rose was definately a highlight (amongst many) of the Nick / Elvis show in SF last Oct.

Nice to see EC sticking with Heart of the City live since too
I too am a limited, primitive kind of man
