Keating wows 'em in Auckland
X Factor judge gets a 'yes' for his performance
BRIDGET JONES

(extract)
Ronan Keating is a judge on X Factor, don't you know? Well if you didn't, the Irish superstar certainly made sure you were up to speed on the matter, and the winner, by the end of his Vector Arena show last night.
With an opening line of "What are you doing here? You should all be at home watching X Factor. I can tell you what happens," Keating played to the latest vehicle Kiwi fans might know him from.
But he needn't have bothered. Keating has hits - a lot of them actually - and he was more than willing to share them in the knock-out, knocking-on-two-hour show.
After a quick costume change into something a little more comfortable, Keating rounded the night off with a surprisingly decent version of Elvis Costello's Pump It Up before ending on Life Is A Roller-Coaster before telling the audience how much he loves New Zealand, promising to be back, even if we don't want him. Apparently he's here quite a bit, since making Australia his second home.
And if this was Australia, and we had swapped seats, us as the judges and him the nervous auditionee, it's safe to say - it's a yes from us, Ronan

OMG! I love Ronan Keating, ok. Fangirl mode ON.
And I think he was too respectful to the original song. He should have modernized it a bit.

I'd rather see Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth.
