echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

Beautiful album of piano jazz by a master. His recording of spirituals with the great bassist Charlie Haden,
Steal Away is even better.

But are you listening to that right now as that is the question...
I'm currently listening to Athlete - Tourist.
It's an enjoyable album but I prefer their debut album Vehicles and Animals.

...duh
Preacher was a talkin' there's a sermon he gave,
He said every man's conscience is vile and depraved,
You cannot depend on it to be your guide
When it's you who must keep it satisfied

It has leaked! Appearently from a radio preview streaming thing. I am very thankful for this since he'll stop by here before the album is released.

Some Fantastic Place is indeed a great record - with a certain Long Tall Pete Thomas on the drums too.
Been listening to this in the car for the last few days - never been a big Supergrass fan but damn this is a fine and varied collection of great pop songs.

McCartney + MacManus compilation (thanks Dime!). Demos, live bits, etc. It's weird how Beatlesy much of it sounds, e.g. demo of So Like Candy where the voices sound like John + Paul c. 1964.
