OK, folks. Brilliant Mistake 2006 is up and running. When you get a chance, go here to register your team:

Click on the "Join A League" button, then select "Join Custom League". You will need to enter our League ID# - 74473 and the password, which is elvis. We are doing an auto draft this year again, so when you have some time you can pre-rank the players as you like.

A few other changes this season:

-For non-pitchers, I added three categories - hits, walks and errors
-For pitchers, I added losses, walks and home runs surrendered

So we now have a total of 16 statistical categories rather than 10. I also bumped up the maximum pitcher innings allowed, but just slightly (I know so lack's gonna kill me for doing that). I can still change options until the teams are selected, so if there are strong objections to anything, I am happy to listen.

Everything else is the same as last year, except of course for the fact that mucho players have changed uniforms in the off-season.

The auto-draft must take place before April 29, but I can set it to occur once we have all of our teams set.

Bump.

The league name has been changed back to good old "Brilliant Mistake", as there seemed to be some problem with Yahoo! recognizing a longer league name. This has no effect on any of those players who have already signed up. I have also eliminated the "Walks" stat for pitchers. As oily slick astutely noted, walks are already part of the WHIP calculation, so adding another Walks stat gave undue advantage to control pitchers.
