It's still pretty fun, moody. :) I don' know when I've seen someone go downhill so quickly. . . . .not that she was ever all that great, but she was doing well for herself.

She is clearly in trouble at the moment.

And wasn't it pure coincidence that Robbie Williams checked himself into rehab on the day of the Brits (and his birthday)? Seeking maximum publicity to detract from the Brits - surely not!

Ask me about catastrophe bonds.

How in the world did I get into this line of work?

Are catastrophe bonds where celebrities get married but split up before you know it?

Hehe. Actually it is a method that insurance companies with large exposures in places like Florida use to manage risk (via the capital markets), rather than buying reinsurance (yes, insurers need insurance too).

And how 'bout those Oscars? vote for me. Not So Lack's, the other ones. vote for me. I thought Ellen done good, vote for me, and the Will Ferrell/Jack Black/John C. Reilly song and dance was fabulous. I really liked Little Miss Sunshine, but that little girl just gets on my tits.

Clooney did look more gorgeous than ever at the Oscars, kinda like Cary Grant and Sean Connery melded. No women came near to Helen Mirren for sexiness, a lovely message that ageing gracefully is very often much more attractive than desperately clinging onto your long-distant youth. Her husband was cute too. Happiest man ever. Penelope Cruz would be second. Forest Whittaker was wonderful. Three cheers for Marty.

Hey look! It's 1am, and true to form I've submitted the last 5 (pointless?) posts. Before long there'll have been 5,000 of them.

The day's work is done.

they weren't pointless because you made me feel better about having the hots for a sixtysome year-old woman moreso anyone else on screen.

Thought Cate Blanchett looked superb, but she always looks good. Oscars were a bit of snooze though.

Speaking of Helen Mirren, last night I watched the second part of the latest Prime Suspect, and then turned the channel and watched her for a bit in Gosford Park. Such different parts, and so stellar in both.

I'd also watched a Harry Potter film (Prisoner of Az.) the night before, and it was fun to have seen (avert your eyes, Alexv) Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon play against each other in two films in such utterly different roles. Both so deliciously nasty in Gosford Park.

She looked amazing. And you'll never see her wear one of those dresses that tries to show off too much cleavage. Let that be a lesson to all women - don't invite anyone and everyone to stare at your tits no matter how awesome they are, it makes you look cheap. Even if everything else about you would seem to contradict that.

Why is it that the more expensive the car is, the less likely it is to have indicators?

Someone with So Lack's rad math skillz would have to work it out, but I think it's got something to do with having more money than sense. I've got indicators, if indicators are turn signals. Usage is optional however when cell phones are in use.

I wish a law were passed that said instead of the feeble and ignored prohibition of the use of cell phones while driving, it was actually expected of upright citizens that they would shoot anyone seen driving with one in their hands. Maybe get a reduction on your insurance premium for instant death, that kind of thing. It would make me so happy. Even worse and more nauseating than people who don't use their indicators.
