HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Happy New Year to one and all....hope you all had a good Hogmanay. I got home at 4.30am after a jolly good night out at an old cinema that's become a nightclub.

Happy new year's guys. I had a great night too, went to a huge wedding-like dinner and dance and then went to a bar. Let's see what happens in 2006 (like, hopefully, the end of the war in Iraq or a new Costello album).
Preacher was a talkin' there's a sermon he gave,
He said every man's conscience is vile and depraved,
You cannot depend on it to be your guide
When it's you who must keep it satisfied

Well, a lady doesn't tell, but let's just say I think that waiter was pretty surprised. Especially since I wasn't even having dinner in that restaurant.

The Scottish name for Noo Year's, as reffed by Roddy Frame in The Boy Wonders:

So come Hogmanay
When love comes in slurs
Resolutions you'll make
And you can label them 'hers'
There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more
