Song Titles Game - Part II

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Hey moody, I know that song! Although I went to UT Chattanooga, not Knoxville, but we still sang it there, too. Sang it drunk lots of times, too.

Back In The Good Old World (Waltz) - Tom Waits

When I was a boy, the moon was a pearl the sun a yellow gold.
But when I was a man, the wind blew cold the hills were upside down.
But now that I have gone from here there's no place I'd rather be
than to float my chances on the tide Back in the good old world.
On October's last I'll fly back home rolling down winding way.
Scare crows are all dressed in rags out at the edge of the field I lay
and all I've got's a pocket full of flowers on my grave.
Oh but summer is gone I remember it best
Back in the good old world.

That is mine and one of Mrs VG's friends' songs! At my 40th birthday party a few years ago we were discussing how me and Mrs VG don't have a song. Somehow we decided that the next song would be "our song" and this was it. I sacked the DJ shortly after.

And me and Mrs VG still don't have a song of our own!
