Ah thanks Gilbert. I was just trying to figure it out for myself! I had just pasted the first link when your reply came up!
So, does anyone know about these then? It looks like they are box sets of 11/12 CD singles. Why don't they just put all the singles onto 2 CDs? Where am I going to find MORE storage space? Mrs VG is already moaning that my EC collection takes up too much room!

The simple answer is - don't buy these! There is absolutely no reason on earth for these - unless you want to get Party Party or the acoustic version of Hope You're Happy Now. Which qualifies as a reason on earth, so don't listen to me!

You'd be better off tracking down a copy of the Great Unknown set.

Hahaha! Hilarious. I can feel the self-loathing swell in my gut because I know I'm going to end up buying these. Just to have them, you understand. I don't have a hankering for the 1984 remix of Pump It Up, but I bet they'll look good on my shelves.
It's obviously just a nice little cash in from Demon.
And of course, Christmas is coming...
I'm glad I put down that Python Autobiography so I can spend money on this.

Cool.........some rascal has already posted these on ebay (like he's not going to get them on the day from Virgin and send them off, making a tidy profit)...but, good news about the boxes:
It also says that they're released October 27th. Cannae wait mon!!!!! I've got 75 quid burning a hole in my pocket in anticipation.Three box sets containing CD facsimiles of Costello's singles releases from 1977 to 1987
All are presented in miniature versions of their original UK sleeves (many of which were extremely Limited Editions).
Many tracks will make their only CD appearance in these sets.
The booklet for each box contains full single-by-single annotation.

Not counting the more trivial edits and mix variations, these are the new-to-CD tracks:
VOLUME 1:
Blame It On Cain (live)
Mystery Dance (live)
Miracle Man (live)
VOLUME 2:
Cry Cry Cry
Wondering
Blues Keep Calling
Honky Tonk Girl
Pills And Soap (extended version)
VOLUME 3:
Everyday I Write The Book (extended mix)
Everyday I Write The Book (special version)
Everyday I Write The Book (instrumental)
Let Them All Talk (extended remix)
I Wanna Be Loved (extended smooch 'n' runny version)
I Wanna Be Loved (version discotheque)
The Only Flame In Town (version discotheque)
Pump It Up (1984 dance mix)
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (live)
I Hope You're Happy Now (solo version)
A Town Called Big Nothing (The Long March)
Also of interest is "Party Party" on Volume 2. Although this is already available on CD, it's only on a "various artists" soundtrack album, not an Elvis CD.
Note that "Cry Cry Cry," "Wondering," "Blues Keep Calling," "Honky Tonk Girl," "Don't Be Misunderstood (live)" and "I Hope You're Happy Now (solo version)" could still be contenders for the Rhino Almost Blue and King of America.
